Who can attend Quiet Santa?
Quiet Santa is for children with autism or other special needs.  Since 2012 we have hosted children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorders, brain injuries, and other unique needs.  Their siblings are welcome to attend, too.

What organization runs Quiet Santa?
Quiet Santa is not affiliated with any nonprofit or business. We are solely managed and staffed by individual volunteers. However, we greatly appreciate the financial support of organizations, businesses and individuals to make Quiet Santa possible.

Why don’t you schedule time slots?
We understand that getting kiddos out the door on time can be a challenge. We hope by offering our registered families the flexibility to arrive anytime during our scheduled hours that we can make their experience with Quiet Santa as effortless as possible.  While time slots have their convenience and we have considered them, we wouldn’t want a child to be devastated if they their opportunity with Quiet Santa was missed because they couldn’t arrive on time.

We offer a waiting area with activities and snacks.  In our experience so far, the wait times have not posed a problem and many families revisit the waiting area after their visit with Santa.

How can I donate to Quiet Santa?
Each year we open up a donation webpage to offer online donations (here).  Alternately, if you’d like to make donation directly to us (this also gives us the full donation and avoids the fee that the online tool collects), checks can be made payable to Julie Sheldon/Quiet Santa and mailed to 447b Bonnie Road, Cottage Grove, WI  53527

How can my business/organization help support Quiet Santa?
Sponsors are the biggest reason we can continue to offer Quiet Santa.  Please visit our sponsorship page for the various levels of sponsorship available.  That page can be found HERE.

Who are the photographers for Quiet Santa?
We respectfully partner with Roots to Wings Photography and Raspberry Lane Photography.  We encourage you to check them out and consider them for your photography needs; they really are spectacular!

Is there a cost to attend?
There is no cost to attend Quiet Santa.  We aim to provide a stress-free experience for the child(ren) and parent(s), and this means keeping it free for as long as we can.

Our professional photographer’s graciously provide attendees with the opportunity to download their photos for free.  Additionally they offer a “printing rights”, this allows families to take the photos anywhere to get prints made (such as Walgreens, CVS, etc.).  Costs involved with printing the photos are the responsibility of the family and is not covered by Quiet Santa.

Why don’t you create a Facebook event page for families to RSVP?
We have considered this option but opted away from it for multiple reasons.  Facebook event tracking is not accurate enough and it is important for us to know how many children to plan for.  Additionally, we cannot capture email addresses to remind registered families or send them necessary updates.  Please understand that our biggest fear is getting too big too fast and not being able to keep the event sensory-friendly anymore.  While we would love to provide this event to every kiddo, we simply are not staffed or budgeted for it at this time.

Note: Contact information is only collected for Quiet Santa purposes.  We do not, and will not, sell contact information.
